Ngāti Tamaoho is a Waikato-Tainui hapū.

This rohe map is based on the Area of Interest agreed between Ngāti Tamaoho and the Crown in the Deed of Settlement signed on 30 April 2017. Ngāti Tamaoho Area of Interest from the Deed of Settlement [JPG, 184KB].

➤ This rohe map shows the traditional Ngāti Tamaoho area of interest, but for contemporary issues such as Resource Management Act concerns the area for which Ngāti Tamaoho has a kaitiaki responsibility is smaller and is focused largely in the South Auckland & Northern Waikato regions, Papakura, Karaka including the Manukau Harbour, Opaaheke, Ramarama, Bombay, Pukekohe, areas within Waiuku & the Awhitu Peninsula, Te Puuaha o Waikato, Southern Huunua including Mangatangi, Pookino, Whangamaarino, Te Paina/Mercer towards Meremere. Also we have RMA interest in & around Central Auckland including city centre & harbour frontage & moutere in the Tiikapa, Rangitoto, Motutapu & Tiritiri Matangi.
