Ngāti Tamaoho is a Waikato-Tainui hapū.

From Muriwai on the West Coast to Port Waikato, then on to Meremere, across to Mangatangi to the Wairoa River on the East Coast; then up to Tiritiri Matangi including Manukau Harbour, Tāmaki Strait, Waitemata Harbour and the inner Hauraki Gulf Islands.
